Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO)

1. Core Principle
Organic waste gas Heat to above 760℃ , High-temperature direct combustion decomposes organic compounds in the exhaust gas → complete oxidation Carbon dioxide + water, Residue-free, thoroughly deodorizing, with a purification rate of over 99%.

2. What does “thermal storage” mean (the most crucial point)?
The furnace is filled with Ceramic heat-storage brick- Exhaust gas enters the furnace: the heat‑storage bricks transfer heat to the exhaust gas, rapidly raising its temperature.
- Exhaust gas combustion releases heat: the heat is then stored back into the ceramic bricks.
- Heat is recirculated and reused, resulting in extreme savings in electricity and fuel.
- The heat recovery rate is as high as 95%
3. Simple Workflow
- Workshop exhaust gas collection → Pre-treatment for dust and oil removal
- Entering the RTO heat storage chamber, it is rapidly heated by the high-temperature ceramics.
- Furnace chamber at 760°C+ high-temperature incineration, thoroughly decomposing odors and VOCs.
- The clean flue gas transfers its heat to another set of heat-storage elements.
- High-altitude emission after temperature reduction meets the standards.

4. The biggest difference between RTO and RCO
RTO Thermal Oxidation
Temperature Above 760℃ , pure high-temperature burning, No catalyst required
Suitable for: high-concentration exhaust gases, painting, inks, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.
Advantages: stable and durable, resistant to complex exhaust gases.
Drawbacks: high temperature and slightly higher energy consumption.
RCO catalytic combustion
Temperature 250-400℃ , relying on catalytic reactions
Advantages: More energy-efficient at low temperatures.
Drawbacks: susceptible to cooking fumes and dust, and prone to catalyst clogging.
