The variable-speed chain conveyor is an automated conveying system in which the chain operates at low speed while the fixture plates move at high speed. Its core principle relies on a dual-roller differential mechanism, enabling the fixture plates to travel 2.5 to 3 times faster than the chain. It is widely used in assembly, inspection, and flexible manufacturing processes.
I. Structural Composition
Speed‑up chain: a double‑pitch specialized chain, available in light‑duty and heavy‑duty versions.
Workbench: steel plate / engineering plastic plate, equipped with locating fixtures, with casters at the base.
Drive unit: motor + reducer + drive shaft + sprocket, with variable-frequency or servo speed control.
Tensioning device: Adjusts the chain tension at the tail end to prevent misalignment.
Rack and guide rails: industrial aluminum profiles (wear-resistant and corrosion‑resistant), supporting chains, and tooling plates.
